Radio Room USS Drum

This is me in the USS Drum Radio Room.

The picture behind me is my Dad as CPO  (S-42) in 1938.

Gordon's W7KRG (SK) Antenna Tower

As you can Tell, Gordon put out a terrific signal with his homemade tower and two-element quad.

 

Tower Bear

Every once in a while, the bear would climb the tower and look out over the desert.
